Volleyball Recap: North Oldham Comes Up Short on the Road Against Ballard

North Oldham had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ballard Bruins on Tuesday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets North Oldham lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-28, 25-23, 26-24.

Ballard found their leader in sophomore Gabbi Stintson, who had 25 assists and 12 digs.

Looking ahead, North Oldham will head out to square off against Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ballard, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Spencer County at 7:30 p.m.
