Football Game Preview: Fairfield Prep Jesuits vs. North Haven Nighthawks + Official Tickets

The Fairfield Prep Jesuits will head out on the road to challenge the North Haven Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Fairfield Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Maloney, who was ranked 19th at the time (Fairfield Prep was ranked seventh). The Jesuits enjoyed a cozy 24-6 win over the Spartans last Friday. The Jesuits pushed the score to 24-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, North Haven was not quite Sheehan's equal in the second half on Friday. They and the Titans were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 28-27 defeat. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, North Haven saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Artie McCormack IV rushed for 127 yards and one TD while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and one score. McCormack IV's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards.

Fairfield Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Fairfield Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against North Haven when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jesuits since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
