Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

If Carroll was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of South Central Calhoun on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Greene County Rams on Friday, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Rams since June 8, 2017.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Greene County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will face off against Carlisle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greene County, they will venture away from home to square off against South Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
