Baseball Recap: Murphy Comes Up Short

Murphy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Friday.

Murphy's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for St. Michael Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Murphy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against St. Luke's Episcopal on the 10th. As for St. Michael Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Bayshore Christian on the 8th.
