Basketball Recap: St. George's Takes a Loss

St. George lost against Reardan back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. George's Dragons were beaten by the Reardan Screaming Eagles 92-50. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Screaming Eagles are ranked 31st).

St. George's moved to 9-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Reardan, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

St. George's has already played their next game (against Newport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Reardan will head out on the road to take on Davenport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Reardan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matchups -- so hopefully Davenport likes a good challenge.
