Football Recap: Habersham Central Raiders vs. Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs
After flying high against Loganville two weeks ago, Habersham Central came back down to earth. The Habersham Central Raiders took a 57-43 bruising from the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs on Saturday. Despite 70 more yards than the Bulldoggs, the Raiders couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Paris Wilbanks and Zeke Whittington certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wilbanks threw for 466 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.8% of his passes, while Whittington picked up 196 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Whittington has become a key player for Habersham Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
