Softball Game Preview: Lake Highlands Wildcats vs. Richardson Eagles

For the second straight game, Lake Highlands will face off against Richardson. The Wildcats will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lake Highlands has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Richardson will arrive with three straight wins.

Lake Highlands fell victim to Richardson and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 21-0 to the Eagles.

Lake Highlands saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhys Mulkey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Richardson pushed their record up to 11-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Lake Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
