Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Antravion Kinsey and Ladaunte Mccoy Lead Ringgold to Victory

Ringgold can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 65-55 win over the Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Redskins also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Ringgold was led to victory by LaDaunte McCoy and AnTravion Kinsey. McCoy dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards, while Kinsey dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was McCoy's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caden Allums, who posted four points and eight rebounds.

Ringgold was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Ringgold's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14. As for Woodlawn-Shreveport, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ringgold will host Lakeview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodlawn-Shreveport, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
