West Monroe is 8-2 against Ouachita Parish since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The West Monroe Rebels will host the Ouachita Parish Lions at 5:15 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: West Monroe has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Ouachita Parish will arrive with three straight victories.

Saturday just wasn't the day for West Monroe's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Calvary Baptist Academy, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Ouachita Parish sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Franklin Parish on Monday.

Malayah Vaughn was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Rheagan Montgomery was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

Ouachita Parish was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ouachita Parish's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.5 runs. As for West Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

West Monroe took their win against Ouachita Parish in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0. Will West Monroe repeat their success, or does Ouachita Parish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
