Ace Monihen's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Starting off the list is Council Grove's Ace Monihen, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Monihen rushed for 200 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Council Grove pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Monihen and Council Grove will take on St. Marys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kasen Parsons' Big Game Leads Osage City over St. Marys

Kasen Parsons posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 115 yards on 13 of 21 attempts. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run.

The win for Osage City keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Parsons and Osage City will take on Silver Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Deters Posts Huge Game in 34-14 Defeat

While Porter Deters delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Mission Valley. Olpe had no answer to Deters as he rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 143 yards and a touchdown. Deters' longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
