West Las Vegas is a perfect 8-0 against Tucumcari since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Dons will host the Rattlers at 3:30 p.m. West Las Vegas' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Tucumcari's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Las Vegas made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Michael's, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dons fell just short of the Horsemen by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Tucumcari came up short against Raton on Monday, falling 20-10.

Matt Gomez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two doubles. He has become a key player for Tucumcari: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Luis Archuleta was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

West Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Tucumcari, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

West Las Vegas was able to grind out a solid win over Tucumcari in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 20-15. Do the Dons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rattlers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
