Volleyball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

Richfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Washburn Millers. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Millers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-15.

Richfield's offense was headlined by Taylor Nickell and Olivia Berger, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Julia Wolke and her seven assists.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Washburn, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richfield will face off against Como Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washburn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Osseo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
