Softball Recap: Hiawatha's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against St. Marys last Thursday, Hiawatha came back down to earth. Hiawatha lost 11-3 to the Jefferson West Tigers on Monday. The loss put an end to the Red Hawks' undefeated start to the season.

Kenzie Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hiawatha fell to 2-1. Jefferson West has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jefferson West beat Hiawatha by a score of 14-8 later that day.
