Football Game Preview: Dayton Pirates vs. Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers + How To Watch

The Dayton Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dayton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Dayton and Santiam Christian meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Sunday. The Pirates managed a 23-17 win over the Eagles.

The critical scores for Dayton came from Nate Coburn, Taylr Miller, and Asher Maxwell.

Meanwhile, Blanchet Catholic took a blow against Salem Academy on Friday, falling 35-7.

Dayton's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Blanchet Catholic, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Dayton was able to grind out a solid win over Blanchet Catholic in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 14-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
