Softball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian Takes a Loss

Southwest Florida Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Bishop Verot Vikings, falling 10-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the King's of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Adrianna Thorne made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Candice Chime also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Southwest Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bishop Verot, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, Southwest Florida Christian will take on Seacrest Country Day in a tournament on Thursday. As for Bishop Verot, they will be taking part in a tournament against Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evangelical Christian has yet to allow a single run through five games this season, a streak Bishop Verot will look to end.
