Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill lost against Jordan back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers lost 14-4 to the Falcons. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Iris O'Brien made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and earned two runs and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Klemm, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Jordan, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapel Hill will welcome Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against East Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
