Basketball Recap: Classical Takes a Loss

Classical played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Ell-Saline Cardinals, falling 59-39. The Saints have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Classical lost, don't look at Mack Dolloff. Despite the final result, he posted ten points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Krieger, who put up seven points.

Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Ell-Saline, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

Coming up, Classical will challenge Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season. As for Ell-Saline, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals duke it out with the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
