Jamestown had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Nottoway Cougars, falling 41-18. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 12 in a row dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Jamestown lost, don't look at Ben Hanchett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns.
