Trae Nunn, Waxahachie's leading three-point artist this season, solidified his role on Friday. Nunn went 6-for-10 on his way to 21 points. The performance also marked the highest shooting accuracy (60%) he has had since back in November of 2023. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Nunn's strong effort led Waxahachie over DeSoto and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nunn will face off against Blayke Cook, DeSoto's star guard. With these two excellent players competing for bragging rights, there's bound to be some exciting action on the court.
