Basketball Game Preview: Havana Ducks vs. Sherrard Tigers

The Havana Ducks will take on the Sherrard Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Havana sitting on six straight victories and Sherrard on seven.

Last Thursday, Havana humbled Lewistown with a 56-29 victory. With the Ducks ahead 34-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sherrard). They blew past Riverdale 80-50 on Thursday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Havana pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Sherrard, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Havana beat Sherrard 57-47 in their previous meeting back in February of 2015. Does Havana have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sherrard turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
