Baseball Game Preview: Anson Bearcats vs. McBee Panthers

The Anson Bearcats are taking a road trip to face off against the McBee Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

While Bearcats fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Wednesday's season opener. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Rocky River a 19-0 shutout on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, McBee's season-opener on Saturday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. Neither they nor York Prep could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw.

Anson suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to McBee in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
