Softball Recap: Coalfield Yellow Jackets vs. Rockwood Tigers

Coalfield was the 14-10 winner over Rockwood when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Coalfield Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Rockwood Tigers by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. Coalfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Halle Wilson put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Isabella McDaniel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
