Paradise Honors is 7-1 against Shadow Mountain since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m.

Paradise Honors is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Thunderbird just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Paradise Honors started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 26-24.

Paradise Honors' defeat came about despite a quality game from Isabella Staudinger-Hughes, who had 20 digs and five assists.

Meanwhile, Shadow Mountain hadn't done well against Greenway recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Matadors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Demons.

Shadow Mountain not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Greenway between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

Paradise Honors' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 21-12. As for Shadow Mountain, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

Everything went Paradise Honors' way against Shadow Mountain in their previous matchup on Monday, as Paradise Honors made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
