Baseball Recap: Nixa Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Nixa and Kickapoo meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Eagles fell 5-2 to the Chiefs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Nixa's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-11. As for Kickapoo, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.

Nixa has already played their next contest (against Branson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Kickapoo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-4 win against Central on the 13th.
