Oswego East won the last time they faced Joliet Central, and Nathan Thach did his part to make sure it happened again. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Steelmen on Tuesday for which the team can thank Thach, who had 36 digs and five assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 11.7 digs per game.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Oswego East who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Joliet Central still got an impressive performance from Conrado Mendez, who had 18 digs and two assists.

Oswego East's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for Joliet Central, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
