Soccer Game Preview: Guilford vs. Boylan Catholic

Guilford is 1-6 against Boylan Catholic since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Vikings will face off against the Titans at 6:30 p.m.

Guilford is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Dundee-Crown on Saturday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Berkeley Stenstrom and Rihanna Gusner scored both of Guilford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Thunder get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for Boylan Catholic, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

Boylan Catholic pushed their record up to 12-2-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Guilford's draw makes their record 8-10-1 this season.

Guilford suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Boylan Catholic in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
