Soccer Recap: Sharpstown Victorious

Sharpstown kept a clean sheet against Carnegie Vanguard on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos 1-0. Brayan Ajpacaja Yax had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Apollos.

The victory got Sharpstown back to even at 6-6. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Sharpstown will take on Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Galena Park on the 4th.
