Preview: Westminster Academy Crusaders vs. North Central Hurricanes
Westminster Academy has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the North Central Hurricanes on Friday. Westminster Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Westminster Academy earned a 55-42 victory over Sacred Heart.
North Central posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past False River, posting a 84-49 victory on the road. Given North Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while False River is ranked 372nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westminster Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for North Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Westminster Academy came up short against North Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 69-62. Can Westminster Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
