Volleyball Recap: Gainesville Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Gainesville won the last time they faced Jensen Beach, and Addyson Hauptman did her part to make sure it happened again. The Hurricanes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Falcons 2-1 for which the team can thank Hauptman, who had 13 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Despite the loss, Jensen Beach still got an impressive performance from Jasmine Fortson, who had eight digs and four aces.

Gainesville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Jensen Beach, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gainesville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on The Rock at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Jensen Beach, they will take on South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
