Football Game Preview: Muskogee Roughers vs. Putnam City North Panthers

The Muskogee Roughers will square off against the Putnam City North Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Muskogee is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Sapulpa on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Roughers were beaten by the Chieftains 49-16. The Roughers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Putnam City North fell victim to Charles Page and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Sandites. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Sandites are ranked 25th).

Muskogee now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Putnam City North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
