Volleyball Recap: Ogden's Run of 14 Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Ogden unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Murray Spartans. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ogden actually scored more points across those four sets (91-87), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 10-25, 27-25.

Ogden's loss came despite strong showings from Kos Crowther and Oscar Barragan. Crowther had 12 digs and four assists, while Barragan had 11 digs.

Ogden's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Murray, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Ogden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Clearfield on the 19th. As for Murray, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Syracuse on the 19th.
