It was a proper cat-fight when Pottsboro took on Blue Ridge on Tuesday. The Cardinals walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on three straight.

Matthew McCullough spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cayden Humphreys, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Slade Gonzales, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Pottsboro's victory bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Pottsboro will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
