Basketball Recap: Venture Academy Piles Up the Points Against Waterford + How To Watch

Venture Academy saw some tournament action on Thursday. They blew past the Waterford Wildcats 62-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Venture Academy had a senior duo take command as Jabril Lewis-Muhammad shot 64% from the field to rack up 21 points and five rebounds and Jayden Akuva went 7-for-10 on his way to 15 points and four steals. The game was Lewis-Muhammad's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jeston Barnett, who posted eight points.

Despite the loss, Waterford still got an impressive performance from Matthew Martinez, who scored eight points.

Venture Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Waterford, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Venture Academy has already played their next contest, a 66-47 win against Tokay on the 5th. As for Waterford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-54 defeat against Humphreys Able Charter on the 5th.
