Volleyball Game Preview: Mankato West Scarlets vs. Owatonna Huskies

Mankato West is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Owatonna is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Scarlets will host the Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mankato West's tournament run continued when they took on Spring Grove on Saturday. The Scarlets came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Owatonna made easy work of John Marshall on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Mankato West now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Owatonna, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Mankato West came out on top in a nail-biter against Owatonna when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Scarlets repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
