Manteca came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Sierra, but Amari Currey wouldn't allow it. The Timberwolves walked away with a 3-1 win over the Buffaloes on Thursday thanks in part to Currey, who had 12 digs and five aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

The victory didn't come easy: Manteca scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22.

Sierra has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Manteca, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sierra will venture away from home to face off against Patterson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manteca, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on the 13th.
