Baseball Recap: Malvern Prep Comes Up Short

Malvern Prep blew Springside Chestnut Hill Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Springside Chestnut Hill Academy got their revenge. The Friars fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 8-6. The Friars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Malvern Prep's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-3. As for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malvern Prep will host St. Georges Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Episcopal Academy at 4:00 p.m. on May 6.
