Brush was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from third to first in 2A Patriot. Earlier in the week, the Beetdiggers triumphed over University 56-13.

Brush extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Bulldogs, 56-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.

Jeff Merritt threw for 299 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 23-37 with 0 interception.

Clay Shaver made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Beetdiggers bested University. He.

Jacob Smith was the best running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 152 yards as Strasburg fell to Eaton. Teammate Detmer Oliver added to the ground attack by rushing for 34 yards.

5-foot-11 quarterback Merritt of the Blue Devils is the league leader in passing yards this season with 888. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ethan Rose. The Sterling star has 25 catches for 593 yards.

The top two teams in 2A Patriot will face off this week when first place Brush takes on second place Strasburg. Brush defeated Casey Doss' team last week, while the Indians fell to Platte Valley.

Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Strasburg takes on the Beetdiggers. Jeff Giger's team's offense has racked up 156 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Brush has allowed only 37 on the year.
