Baseball Recap: New Fairfield Takes a Loss

New Fairfield lost against Newtown back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Rebels fell just short of the Nighthawks by a score of 8-7. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nicolas Martini made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

New Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Newtown, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. New Fairfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Bunnell at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Newtown will challenge rival Weston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
