Football Recap: Prairie View Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Prairie View's offense. They were outmatched by the Fossil Ridge SaberCats and fell 42-0. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderhawks in their meetings with the SaberCats: they've now lost five in a row.

A big part of Fossil Ridge's win came down to the chemistry between Colton Jantz and his top target Eli Swanson. Jantz threw for 311 yards and four TDs while completing 73.1% of his passes while Swanson gained 176 total yards and four touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Jantz a new career-high in passer rating (152.4). Caleb Camping also helped out as he racked up 119 receiving yards.

Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fossil Ridge, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Prairie View is set to square off against their familiar foe Rocky Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge will take on rival Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant wideouts against one another: Swanson and Toray Davis.
