Football Game Preview: Land O' Lakes Gators vs. Springstead Eagles

The Land O' Lakes Gators will take on the Springstead Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Land O' Lakes sitting on five straight wins and Springstead on four.

Land O' Lakes is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Wharton get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Considering the Gators have won 11 matchups by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Land O' Lakes found their leader in sophomore Sophia Spiegel, who threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of her passes, and also rushed for 92 yards on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Springstead beat Sunlake 26-20 on Tuesday.

Land O' Lakes' win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Springstead, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
