Lassen is a perfect 10-0 against Central Valley since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Grizzlies will welcome the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Central Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lassen, who comes in off a win.

While Lassen's win against West Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Eagles 8-7 on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 28 runs the game before, Central Valley was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of Yreka by a score of 2-1.

Joleen Short spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Central Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailyn Hollister, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Central Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Lassen, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.

Lassen took their win against Central Valley when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 10-4 score. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
