Soccer Recap: Shannon Comes Up Short

Shannon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ripley Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Shannon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ripley, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6.

Shannon wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Houston on the 6th. Ripley has also already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against North Pontotoc on the 6th.
