Softball Recap: Lonoke Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Lonoke barely beat Wynne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jackrabbits blew past the Yellowjackets 9-3 on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Kendra Terry made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Terry was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shaniya Jackson, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Kirsten Holt was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Lonoke's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wynne, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Lonoke will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
