Basketball Recap: Boonville Takes a Loss

Boonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Evansville Harrison Warriors by a score of 46-44. The Pioneers lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 88-50 score last time.

Evansville Harrison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kannen Bard led the charge by going 6 of 10 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Summitt, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.

Boonville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Evansville Harrison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boonville will host Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Evansville Harrison, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Castle at 7:00 p.m.
