Basketball Recap: Southern Wells Skates Past Fort Wayne Canterbury with Ease

Southern Wells entered their tilt with Fort Wayne Canterbury on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cavaliers 72-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Leading Southern Wells to victory were Gracie Reeves and Kaylee Davis. Reeves shot 64% from the field to rack up 17 points, while Davis posted ten points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Those 17 points gave Reeves a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Remi Holmes, who earned nine points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Southern Wells was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Southern Wells' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
