Volleyball Game Preview: Lynbrook Vikings vs. Wilcox Chargers

The Lynbrook Vikings will face off against the Wilcox Chargers at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Lynbrook managed to slip by Santa Clara the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Bruins on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since September 3rd.

While Lynbrook had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Wilcox waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Firebirds with a sharp 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-9.

Lynbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Wilcox, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Lynbrook beat Wilcox 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
