Basketball Recap: Glenbard East Takes a Loss

Glenbard East's tournament run continued when they took on Warren Township on Thursday. The Glenbard East Rams fell to the Warren Township Blue Devils 44-39. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rams came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 521st).

Glenbard East has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Warren Township, they moved to 1-10 with that win, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.

Glenbard East will be taking part in a tournament against Richards at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Warren Township, they will square off against Thornton Fractional North at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
