Softball Recap: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Wewahitchka Gators

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Port St. Joe had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over the Wewahitchka Gators. That's two games straight that Port St. Joe has won by exactly nine runs.

Christina Clayton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Clayton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Anniston Gainer was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Addy Creekmore was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Port St. Joe and bumps their season record up to 8-15. As for Wewahitchka, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
