Softball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland lost against Medfield back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clockers came up short against the Warriors, falling 12-6. The Clockers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Caroline Caira and Ruby Khazadian stepped up to the plate in a big way. Caira scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Khazadian scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Caira also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Kriegsman, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

Ashland's record is now 1-4. As for Medfield, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ashland will take on rival Norwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Medfield is set to face off against their familiar foe Holliston at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
