Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Pattonsburg Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Princeton Tigers duke it out with the Pattonsburg Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday... Princeton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Monday, Princeton humbled Cainsville with a 63-27 victory. The Tigers pushed the score to 63-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Redmen cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Pattonsburg didn't have too much trouble with Tri-County on Tuesday as they won 46-27. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Pattonsburg's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Princeton, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Princeton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pattonsburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Princeton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
